a WONDERFUL sunday :)

So,I woke up at 8 AM nervous about the day. It was Houston's baptisim and Edwin was joining the church (finally). We invited the families to stay after the church service to eat... however, when we do that, it also means that everyone has to cook and bring SOMETHING. We were in charge of deviled eggs and brown rice. We got up and were gettting busy cooking and preparing the 48 eggs and such... until "JESS... where is the butter?" We did not have any... so, already our day was not starting off very well... I had to send Edwin out to 1. get gas in my car so I could make it to church and 2. get butter so we could make the brown rice.

I was already stressing b/c when Edwin came back he had to get in the shower IMMEDIATELY or he would be late to his "new member" meeting. However, in our house, you cannot take showers back to back or there is NO hot water... so, I got the priviledge of having a nice ice cold shower. Again, this was already not a good start of the day... but I sucked it up...

Somehow we managed to get all things done this morning and made it to church in plenty of time. - Gotta love when things just work out - Houston was baptized and he looked so precious!

I didn't even get a picture because I was so caught up in the moment and forgot the camera in the car. I stole this picture from Matt's Aunt Leigh. So, here's the new family! :) Houston was so good during the sermon... he didn't cry once - not even when the preacher put the water all over his sweet little head! You'll have to scout Erica's blog to see his precious pictures in our JoJo's Father's (Houston's great great grandfather) Christianing gown.
